The Riverstone Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Been coming here for years whenever I pass through Townsend. Friendly service, I've not had to ask for anything twice. The fries green tomatoes are top-notch! I cannot recommend the trout and catfish enough. If you are feeling adventurous, you've got to try the frog legs!
We had a rough trip with our original plans falling through then we drove into this small town, and got a hotel. We are on a birthday trip- and we were beyond hungry we took the chance with this not expecting much. But boy was I surprised! This place was quiet, the girls were very chipper with there tables. And I got the Philly and fries it was absolutely amazing it tasted great and had flavor. Also our server was amazing! I never went without a drink refill the entire time and he was super sweet! I think his name may have been Chase that is what was on the receipt. Overall great experience!!!
Just now had an early dinner there with my Mom and her friend after driving them along the scenic foothills parkway. I split the Chicken fried steak, mash & gravy, fried okra, a baked potato and some mac & cheese. So good! And out waitress was phenomenal after just discovering she had a flat tire she was still so gracious and sweet and attentive 10/10!
We stayed at the local KOA and walked to the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. We had the grilled trout and the bologna sandwich. The atmosphere was dated and needs a little TLC, but the food was good and a fair price. As long as you keep your expectations reasonable and don’t expect a five star experience, you’ll be fine.
I had the pot roast, I've never seen so much meat in one dish it was heavenly my wife had the bbq pork and again it was delicious. One downside, the rest rooms were awful . Shame to let down your fantastic restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place. The food and service was 1st class. Thank you!
Excellent service, excellent meal. Very large desert portions. The best we have eaten at in this area
Day after my Birthday Dana had a Inkle class at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend, TN. After we ate lunch, we started with Fried Green Tomatoes which was amazing. Then we ordered Fried Catfish, Fries, Coleslaw, Hushpuppies which was very good. Service was very good very attentive.
We had a very pleasant supper here in a cold snowy November night. I had hamburger steak and wife had rainbow trout. Mine was incredible and she said hers was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Highly recommend if you’re in Townsend, TN.
